Revolutionise your daily ride: Unveil the Smart, Stylish, and Eco-friendly Ebii E-Bike by Acer!
Acer has temporarily shifted its focus from desktops and laptops to explore the realm of electric bicycles. The Taiwanese tech company recently introduced the lightweight, 35lb “ebii” e-bike, which they claim is an “AI-powered smart bike designed for urban commuters seeking an easier daily commute.” The release date has not been announced yet, so for those seeking electric transportation options immediately, consider our top electric bikes guide here.
Features:
The ebii, crafted from aluminum alloy, features a sleek, futuristic design with a maximum speed of 20mph and a 70-mile range on a single charge. Acer estimates a charging time of approximately two and a half hours for the e-bike. The AI technology learns riders’ preferences and automatically shifts gears based on road conditions. Additional features include auto-lock when a connected phone is beyond a specific distance from the bike.
The airless tires eliminate concerns over flats, and Acer has equipped the ebii with collision detection sensors and integrated lights. Acer states that “with auto-lock systems and GPS positioning, you’ll never have to worry about locating your parked bike again. The ebii is designed to send instant alerts if someone attempts to move it without your permission.” A companion smartphone app provides information on battery life, suggested routes, and current speed. The ebii’s removable lithium-ion battery can also serve as a portable power source for charging phones or laptops.
Price:
Although not included as standard features, accessories such as fenders or a rear rack for pannier bags can be purchased separately. Acer has yet to disclose the price for the ebii, but it is likely to be around the $1,500 premium e-bike benchmark seen from other manufacturers. This price point is significantly lower than Audi’s $10,000 asking price for its recent e-Tron electric mountain bike.
